Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how EraForge (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our game and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

Device Permissions & Features

EraForge is an idle battle game available as a web app and as native iOS and Android applications. On iOS the app may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and uses Apple’s StoreKit for in-app purchases; these are described in their dedicated sections below. Outside of ATT and StoreKit, the app does not access protected device resources such as camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, or health data.

Permissions the app does NOT use:

  • Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription) — not used. The app has no photo capture, scanning, or video features.
  • Microphone / Audio input (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription / RECORD_AUDIO) — not used. The app records no audio.
  • Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES) — not used. The app does not browse or save photos.
  • Location (NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) — not used. The in-game world map is fictional and not tied to real GPS.
  • Contacts (NSContactsUsageDescription / READ_CONTACTS) — not used.
  • Calendar, Reminders, Health/HealthKit, HomeKit, Bluetooth, Face ID, Motion & Fitness, Speech Recognition, Siri — none are used or requested.
  • Phone call / SMS — not used.

Features the app uses:

  • Haptic feedback: Light vibration to confirm in-game actions such as forging or a battle hit. Generated locally; accesses no personal data; can be disabled in device accessibility/settings.
  • Local storage: Gameplay preferences (selected server, language) and session helpers are stored in the browser's local storage so the game resumes quickly. Guest progress and purchases are associated with an anonymous guest profile on our backend, not only stored locally.
  • Internet: A network connection is used to load and save your game progress, sync social features, deliver advertising, process purchases, and support analytics and attribution as described in this Privacy Policy.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS): On iOS, EraForge may request permission via Apple’s ATT framework before accessing the advertising identifier (IDFA) or performing tracking that requires permission. You may deny this request and can change it later in iOS Settings. Denying ATT does not prevent you from playing EraForge.
  • Advertising (iOS): EraForge uses AppLovin MAX to display rewarded, interstitial, and banner ads. See the Advertising section for details.
  • Analytics & Attribution (iOS): EraForge uses AppsFlyer to measure installs and campaign performance. See the Analytics and Attribution section for details.
  • In-App Purchases (iOS): Optional digital purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. See the In-App Purchases section for details.
  • Anonymous device identifier: EraForge uses an anonymous, device-local installation identifier for guest profile continuity, purchase delivery and recovery, security, and fraud prevention. On the web (browser) version, a derived anonymous fingerprint of browser and screen characteristics is used. On iOS, a device-local installation identifier stored in the iOS Keychain is used for the same purpose. This identifier is not IDFA, is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking, is not linked to your personal identity, and is not shared with third parties. It is used solely to enforce fair-play limits (such as the number of accounts per device), deliver and recover guest purchases, and prevent fraud.

Aside from the iOS-specific features listed above (ATT, advertising, analytics/attribution, and in-app purchases), no other protected resources are accessed.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: Email address and display name used for authentication and identification.
  • Profile & gameplay data: Nickname, avatar, server selection, game state (currency, items, forge and battle progress), and activity history.
  • Social features: Clan membership, alliance participation, chat messages, private messages, marketplace listings, and war logs you generate.
  • Device & network data: An anonymous device-local installation identifier and IP address are used to enforce fair-play limits (such as the number of accounts per device per server), deliver and recover guest purchases, and prevent fraud. On the web (browser) version, a derived anonymous browser/device fingerprint is used. On iOS, a device-local Keychain-backed identifier is used for the same purpose. This identifier is not IDFA and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
  • Support messages: Messages you voluntarily submit through the in-app Contact Admin feature (bug reports, ideas, cheater reports, direct messages).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your game account and progress across servers.
  • To operate social features (chat, clans, alliances, wars, marketplace, gifting).
  • To enforce fair-play rules, prevent cheating, and detect multi-accounting.
  • To respond to support requests and investigate reported violations.
  • To maintain security and comply with legal obligations.

3. Advertising

EraForge uses AppLovin MAX for advertising. The app may display rewarded ads, interstitial ads, and banner ads. AppLovin and its advertising partners may process device information, advertising identifiers (where permitted), IP address, ad interaction and performance information, and similar technical information where applicable. Rewarded ads provide an optional in-game reward after successful completion of an eligible advertisement; the reward is granted only after the ad is completed and validated.

4. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS, EraForge may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before accessing the advertising identifier (IDFA) or performing tracking that requires permission. You may deny this permission, and you can change it at any time through iOS Settings. Denying ATT permission does not prevent you from playing EraForge.

5. Analytics and Attribution

EraForge uses AppsFlyer as a third-party analytics and attribution provider. AppsFlyer is used to measure app installs, attribution, campaign effectiveness, app events, and purchase attribution/measurement where applicable. AppsFlyer may process technical device information, identifiers, and app/event information according to your consent and applicable platform and privacy requirements.

6. In-App Purchases

EraForge offers optional digital purchases through Apple’s StoreKit / In-App Purchase system. Payments are processed by Apple. EraForge does not receive or store your payment-card details. EraForge and its backend may process transaction identifiers, product identifiers, and purchase-validation information required to verify a transaction, prevent duplicate rewards and fraud, and deliver the purchased digital content.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help operate the game, and only as necessary for providing these services, analytics and attribution, advertising, transaction verification, security, and legal compliance:

  • Apple / StoreKit: Processes in-app purchases and transaction validation on iOS.
  • AppLovin MAX and advertising partners: Serve and measure advertising.
  • AppsFlyer: Provides install attribution, campaign measurement, and analytics.
  • Infrastructure: Cloud hosting and database providers used to run the game.

We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the Service and its users.

8. Data Retention

We retain your gameplay data while your account is active. Transaction and anti-cheat audit records may be retained after account deletion to prevent fraud and enforce fair play, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time through the in-app Settings → Delete Account option. Deletion removes your game states, chat messages, private messages, marketplace listings, notifications, and other account-related data, except for limited transaction, fraud-prevention, security, or anti-cheat records that may need to be retained as described in the Data Retention section and as permitted or required by law. This action is irreversible.

To delete your account, open the app, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can exercise deletion directly through the in-app tool, or contact us for other requests.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

14. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, use the in-app Contact Admin feature (Settings → Help → Contact Admin) to reach our support team directly.
